Photo Series #11: August 2002 - December 2002 - Photographic memories from August through September 2002 (excluding September 2002 and Frosh Week, which was covered in PS10j). Most of the PEI photos were digitally captured.

As a whole, this photo series is lighter on commentary than some of my others, but concerning the family photos I hope that my relatives do not interpret my brevity for slightness. It's just that I've introduced almost everyone here back in PS7, so while I'm just as happy (and possibly happier) with this year's photos and memories as opposed to last year's, I have less to say about them. I think I've also become more ruthless about what photos to include, and with the exception of my younger cousins Kari and (anon) (as they pulled a few funny stunts worth documenting), I have tried to select the most flattering pictures I can, and I no longer find it necessary to document every little trip / incidence that occoured in the month of August.

Also on the topic of pictures, I encountered the problem that plagues digital photography to this day - you don't get the picture you frame in your mind the moment you hit the shutter, you get what's in the frame almost a second later. This gives just enough time for my sister Ila to change her smile to a "funny" face, or for that bird you're trying to photograph to fly away.

All the photographs here are 640x480 resamplings of the 1800x1200 originals. In a few instances, I've uploaded the 1800x1200 and provided a link; there are a few photos that I believe my relatives might want to print off, and the 1800x1200 would be better for this than the 640x480.
