William Matheson's pictures:

They'd better hurry, or they'll miss the concert. See the high-res version of this image.

At the Sam Roberts concert. Right: Chris Duval, from Film Amateura! They're selling glow sticks, glow rods and leis to benefit the Liver Foundation.

Centre: Meghan. See the high-res version of this image.

The freaky guy in the back is Liam Arbuckle. He's just envious.

I misloaded my film (it started travelling into the recesses of the camera before I closed the case), so I took a shot or two just to get past the point to which the film might have been ruined due to exposure. Suprisingly, nothing happened to any of my shots, and I still shot the full 25 exposures. (I keep trying to go for 26, but the intake spool on the camera is just oh so slighty too far away from the cartridge for this to work. My camera is such a tease. If I load the film carelessly, it'll shoot 25 then only wind a little futher before rewinding. If I load it painstakingly, it'll shoot 25 and then almost wind up to the next exposure, and then it will rewind. Bah.)

From left to right: Spaz (Jeremy), Shane Paris (Orientation Coordinator), ?. The joke is that the back of Spaz's shirt says, "I'm in charge." See the high-res version of this image.

Sarah Ritcey, who couldn't be with us this year because she found something constructive to do instead.

I think this is my favorite picture of all because I'm in the same frame as Julia, thus proving that I know her- I mean, uh... wait! I'm standing next to Lyndsay! And there's Steve (right)! Yeah, Steve rocks! =) See the high-res version of this image.

Diary entry written in the corridor of The Tower:

Just got in from the Gorsebrook. This place is hopping with security. Just to get in, you have to be either a SMU student or over 19. If you are SMU, under 19, and don’t have your student ID, too bad. Yeah, it’s kind of unfair, but getting your ID’s ASAP is encouraged if the line-up I saw in the Library yesterday afternoon is any indication.

So right now I’m chilling in the corridor of the Tower watching the world go by. I really like it here. Actually, I liked the Gorsebrook too, but I didn’t come dressed for anything but chilling at the concert. I’m getting to the tail end of my laundry cycle, and I’ve been living out of my suitcase for the past two weeks. (I’m going home at 9:30 and doing laundry such that I’ll have fly threads for our big pub party on Saturday night.)

The Gorsebrook – woah. I rarely see so many people I know from high school who don’t go to SMU (or those who do, but I just don’t see them at all). Of course, my Frosh Leader acquaintances are at their most personable as well – for a $2.00 12-oz draught purchase, I probably ended up with close to three drinks since people kept filling my glass from their pitcher. Thanks, Steve. Plus Mouse (Erin) gave me ¾ a plate of chicken wings because she wasn’t feeling up to finishing them. Thanks, Mouse. Anyway, I guess I got pretty far on $2 and jeans and a t-shirt.

The torrential downpour we’ve been having off and on today is probably affecting attendance for both this Sam Roberts concert and the first pub night – it’s affecting my own behaviour such that I’m not waiting around for the last/first bus tonight/tomorrow morning (for a change). I don’t want to be just starting my 30 minute walk home from the bus stop when the sky opens up upon me.

They’re letting people in now. There’re some guys saying that their drinking bands are on so tight that they hurt. I guess that’s probably the point. I’m watching a guy have his backpack searched. I give props to security in how they let him do the rummaging where they direct.

Shane looks like he’s still going strong. The man is a machine. Stuff looks like it’s getting really serious now; I’ve only seen him smile or laugh a handful of times since camp was over, but I don’t blame him. A few things have been cancelled, such as the scavenger hunt and a meeting he was going to hold at 6:00 today. That’s just as well, because I missed the bus to come in here on time, and even though the meeting was the only reason I cam down, I’m really glad that things have turned out the way they did.

Now if things in here can just settle down a bit, maybe I can take some pictures.

Drew Vinson's pictures:

From left to right: Drew Vinson (contributor!), Rob (my co-Facilitator), ?*. See the high-res version of this image.

* - I don't know his name, but judging from the last two pictures, I'd say he's not complaining.

Julia senses something with her super-powers.

Andrew Arbuckle (left) and Steve Slaunwhite (centre) acquire second-hand coolness.

Andrew: "You mean you're not going to have us arrested?! Thanks, man!" See the video clip taken here. See the high-res version of this image.

Shane addresses the masses.

I was going to toss this picture, but then I noticed Lyndsay was in it. =)

Hey! Enough with the product placement!

Aimee Smith's pictures:

Aimee (4th from right) and her friends.

"Kitties Are So Nice" really rocked the place.

Bubbles rules. Bubbles is a cultural phenomenon.

But, hey, Sam Robers is cool, too.

Nice picture, but this is what happens when you use crapware to do your rotation. Like, a 640x480 image ought to rotate to 480x640, no?
